Challenging global economic scenario, ever increasing consumerism and dynamic industrial requirements constantly enables the higher education institutions to consistently re-engineer their academic deliverables. Existence of uncertain boundless markets, saddled with low capacity utilization, majority of organisations with varied scale of operations are tumbling to invest in new initiatives which invariably causes big challenge across national and international job markets at all verticals. In this competitive scenario, India plays a pertinent role in the global education eco-system through multilateral arrangements with renowned higher education institutions across the globe and gained competitive edge over the years by building sustained networks. Our country's education growth trajectory perhaps largely attributed to constant Industry-Academia endeavour. Albeit, all higher educational institutions in our country have been constantly engaging themselves to augment their teaching-learning deliverables such as refinement in pedagogy, enhanced corporate liaising, nurturing innovative ideas from the grassroots and imparting interpersonal traits to absorb culture shocks, many institutions unable to withstand intense competition from their counterparts. At this juncture, in order to ease and increase corporate acceptance as well as increasing the employability skills amongst career aspirants, many techno-manufacturing organisations have initiated and conceptualised to establish campus connect programs by establishing their potential centre of excellence at the higher educational institutions, which have been successfully yielding desired outcomes. In order to build a rigour industry-institute eco-system, there are many unsung heroes who have genuinely and relentlessly contributed to bridge this vacuum through moulding the young minds and making them equipped to face the career challenges in the highly competitive world. Relating to this very fact, 2nd annual GCS Conclave, Transformational Leadership Awards'2019 with the theme entitled 'Convergence of Industry-Academia Expedition' prominently aims to recognize and reward the significant contributors from industry and higher educational institutions across India.
