Karma Yogi, shri G.C.Suranaji
Shri G.C.Suranaji was born on 28th April 1948 in a village in Rajasthan where he completed his basic school education. He migrated in the early 70 s to Bangalore in search of job and to earn his livelihood. Known for his deep insight, he identified the pharmaceutical sector as a prospective business and started his journey as a distributer, and later in the year 1973 he started Micro Labs Limited independently. With his persistent hard work, perseverance and commitment towards achieving his vision, he built a big network of people across the globe which eventually gave rise to his brain child company Micro Labs. Today Micro Labs is one of the top ten pharmaceutical companies in India.
With Strong Willpower and Phenomenal Memory, clarity of thought, brevity of expression, and accuracy of content, as his trump cards, he provided inspirational leadership by his sheer presence.
He was good at spotting out talent and mapping right people for the right job by assessing the commitment, integrity and competence of individuals. He was a workaholic throughout his life and was strict at the work front, not sparing himself too. He was lovable, very pleasant, expressed concern for everyone at domestic front as well as work front, spoke less but was firm in action.
He was an unassuming and a down to earth personality. He had shown commitment for people around him and given high respect for educated community and workaholics. He was singularly responsible for employing about 10,000 persons directly and more than 25,000 persons indirectly.
His dream was that "quality education should be made available to all sectors of people and affordable to the economically weaker section in the society". He put his noble thoughts in to action by starting Surana PU Independent College, Surana College Of Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, and Surana College for Post Graduate Studies in Bangalore city.
G.C. Suranaji identified himself with the society; He firmly believed that service to the man kind is service to the God. He donated huge money to some organizations like Jain group of Institutions, Mahaveer Eye Hospital, Virus heart Centre, Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Drushti project, Diabetic Center, Police Station, Etc. His family comprising of his wife, two sons and a daughter were his pillars of support. Both his sons stood by his side and worked towards developing the industries in international market level by demonstrating the exemplary leadership virtues and have henceforth taken forward the ‘Legend's legacy’.
